Konchok Jorphel is 14 now. He was at Zang village, in Limi. Like the other monks from Limi, at age of six, he was made a monk of the Zang monastery.

His father's name is Phurbu and his mothers name is Rinchen Bute. He has two sister and three brothers.

 

In 2000, he was brought to India with two of his friends, Yeshi and Pelden by Senge Tenzin Rinpoche. Now, they are studying in the Central Institute of Drikung Kagyu Order, in Dehra Dun, eastern India.
